Constantine Kalandranis was born in Astoria, Queens with a love of food. From cooking alongside members of his Greek-American family to preparing for holiday gatherings, Constantine saw the power food had to connect people. At 14, he began working at a local pizzeria and continued his journey in the culinary world through a variety of positions like cook, baker, and server. His passion propelled him towards the Culinary Institute of America, where he learned about cooking techniques, service, and professionalism.
Since then, he has worked at esteemed dining establishments including Gotham Bar & Grill, Brasserie Perrier, Veritas, L’impero, The Tasting Room and Anthos, which received a Michelin Star.

After falling in love with the Hudson Valley during college, Constantine returned to the area to open 8 North Broadway with a highly skilled team from the culinary world. Kalandranis opened two additional Westchester restaurants in 2015, 273 Kitchen in Harrison, and 251 LEX in Mt. Kisco (the latter closed in 2017). Kalandranis also opened PopoJito, MedMex Kitchen, in November 2017 in Scarsdale, NY. He is the founder of OurFoodGroup.us and KalandranisConsulting.com, a restaurant consultancy.
Constantine and his wife Johna have a daughter, Isla, and son, Leo.
8 North Broadway is a seasonal Mediterranean 65-seat restaurant located in the Rivertown of Nyack, NY overlooking the Hudson River. With a menu inspired by locally sourced seafood, beef, lamb, poultry,
and organic produce and other provisions, the seasonal restaurant reflects the freshest ingredients from the Hudson Valley.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our ingredients and the collaboration with area farmers, artisans, small wine producers and spirit makers from Brooklyn to the Adirondacks. We approach each dish with deepest respect to nature, the integrity of the ingredients and a minimal amount of fuss to coax out natural flavors and textures.

Michael brings over two decades of front of the house experience to our restaurant and a commitment to exceeding every customer's expectations. Formerly the general manager of Crabtree's Kittlehouse in Chappaqua, NY, and assistant general manager at Richard Gere's Bedford Post Inn for Michelin star chef Michael White, Michael's warmth and enthusiasm are beloved and matched only by Taeko's charm and keen organization skills. Together, Michael and Taeko are the face of 8 North Broadway and make every guest feel at home and welcome.
